Q. Is KJC fully English Medium?
A. Yes. KJC is a junior college with full medium of instruction in English, and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra with Registration numbers: Self Fin/ KolVibhaag/ Prath. Man. No. 19085-87, Dt. 12/08/2015 UDISE No. 27320909516.
Q. Is KJC privately funded?
A. Yes. KJC is entirely privately funded without any grant-in aid from the government.
Q. What is the fee structure of KJC?
A. The fees structure of KJC is extremely affordable considering that the amenities and facilities provided are on par with any excellent urban junior college. Please see fees structure.
Q. Are transportation facilities available for the students?
A. Yes. Transportation facilities are available within a radius of ten kilometres of the school premises through private auto-rickshaw facilities, to be negotiated directly by the parents with the auto operators. KJC is also working on having its own buses soon to ensure that students within a radius of more than 15 kms are catered to.
Q. Are boarding facilities available for the students?
A. Yes, the Kalsekar Students Hostel at the main ESK Campus is available for boys studying in KJC. For girl students too, boarding facilities are available less than a kilometer from the school premises.
Q. I come from an economically underprivileged background. Are there are any grants or scholarships available for my child for her education at KJC?
A. If you come from an underprivileged background, we request you to submit your income details, along with two references at our administrative office. We offer limited scholarships and fees rebates to students on a case-to-case and first-come-first-served basis.
Q. What will be the student teacher ratio per class?
A. The student to teacher ratio is maintained at less than 30:1 to ensure personalized attention to every student.
Q. How many books are in the library? Is reading encouraged here?
A. There are over 2000 books in the school library in English, Marathi and Urdu language.
Q. How often will there be PTMs?
A. Through the academic year, there are at least 2 PTMs that are conducted – one every term. This is over and above 6 PTA meetings that are conducted through the year.
Q. Other than the PTM when else can a parent interact with the teacher?
A.
The school premises are open for parents to interact with the teacher with a prior appointment and during non-teaching hours, between 2.30 pm and 4.00 pm from Monday to Thursday every week, when the school is operational.
Besides this, every teacher is connected through whatsapp with the class parents for any query resolution or sharing of ideas.
